LEON S KENNEDY

(RESIDENT EVIL: REQUIEM)

Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil: Requiem is done trying to look like a hero. He’s older, grayer, and done with the world, and his outfit says exactly that. Every piece is intentional; every detail hits. Here’s the full breakdown.

The Jacket — Distressed double-breasted black leather with a thick fur collar. This is THE piece. Instantly iconic, zero competition.

The layer underneath—a black zip hoodie peeking out from the collar. Gives it that effortless streetwear depth, like he got dressed for a mission but accidentally looked too good.

The Rig—a black shoulder holster strapped over the jacket, housing his Requiem magnum. Screams, “I’ve done this a thousand times.”

The Belt—a matte black tactical belt with an angular buckle and ammo pouches. Functional but still clean.

The Gloves—Full-finger black leather with a wrist buckle. Cold, deliberate, precise—and he removes them at the end of the game, which is actually a huge character moment.

The bottom half—slim black cargo pants and dark lace-up combat boots. The dark brown boot sole is literally the only non-black thing in the entire outfit.

The man himself—grayer hair, longer stubble, older face. Capcom made him look like someone who’s survived too much to care about anything except getting the job done—and somehow that just makes the fit hit even harder.

FAQs:

Q1. What does “double-breasted” actually mean? A: Okay so basically it’s a jacket that has two rows of buttons instead of one, and the front overlaps more than usual. Think of it as a jacket that looks more dramatic and structured. Leon’s leather jacket has this — that’s why the front looks so wide and bold.

Q2. What does “distressed” mean when talking about a jacket? A: It just means the jacket is made to look old and worn out on purpose. Like it’s been through things. Scratches, fading, roughed up texture — all intentional. For Leon it makes perfect sense because the guy literally looks like he’s been through hell.

Q3. I don’t get what a shoulder holster is? A: It’s basically straps you wear over your shoulders that hold your gun under your arm — instead of on your hip like usual. Leon wears his over the jacket so you can see it, which honestly just adds to the whole look.

Q4. Slim cargo pants — aren’t cargo pants supposed to be baggy? A: Yeah normally! But slim cargos are just a more fitted version. You still get the extra pockets and that tactical feel but without looking like you’re drowning in fabric. That’s what keeps Leon’s bottom half looking clean and not sloppy.

Q5. What even is a tactical belt? A: Think of it as a beefed-up version of a regular belt. It’s thicker, sturdier, and has extra attachments for carrying gear like ammo or tools. Leon’s is matte black with a sharp angular buckle — functional but still looks intentional.

Q6. Full-finger gloves vs regular gloves — what’s the difference? A: Full-finger just means the gloves cover every finger completely. No cutoffs, no exposed fingertips. Leon’s even have a buckle at the wrist which makes them look really deliberate and precise — which honestly fits his whole personality perfectly.

How I See Fashion Trends are temporary. Style isn’t. The right outfit has nothing to do with what’s in season — it’s about knowing what works and owning it completely. I’ve always been drawn to pieces that have actual character, silhouettes people overlook, and combinations nobody thought to try. The most interesting looks aren’t always the most obvious ones.
